Thank you for visiting the Atlanta Chapter of the American Payroll Association website.  We are a nonprofit organization centered on providing continuing education to payroll, accounting and human resource professionals.  We are an autonomous and independent Chapter of the American Payroll Association.

Our meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month alternating between Breakfast at 7:30am and Dinner at 5:30pm.  The meetings are held at the Holiday Inn Select located at I-285 and Chamblee-Dunwoody Road.

DECEMBER 11, 2008 - We will be celebrating our YEAR-END - a reflection of our accomplishments for the year 2008.  We ask that you bring an unwrapped toy and/or canned food for donation to MUST Ministries.  Please note that there will not be any RCHs awarded because it will be a clebration and not a regular meeting. 
It will be a DINNER meeting, and will begin at 5:30am at the Holiday Inn Select, 4386 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road and I-285.

IRS ANNOUNCEMENTS:  

2009 SOCIAL SECURITY LIMIT IS:  $106,800
2009 401k MAXIMUM IS:  $16,500
2009 401K CATCHUP REMAINS AT:  $5,500

Effective July 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008, the new mileage rate is 58.5 cents per mile, up from 50.5 cents per mile earlier this year.  This is due to high price of gasoline.  The medical and moving mileage rate will be going to 27 cents per mile and the medical mileage remains at 14 cents per mile.

ATLANTA CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP DUES:

($40 ATL Chapter Mbrship (Natl Mbr) Dues)

($50 ATL Chapter Mbrship (Non-Natl Mbr) Dues)

Corporate Membership is for three members of the same organization with one member being a National APA Member. Each additional member up to three pays $20 each for a total of six per Corporate membership.
