EDUCATION COMMITTEE

This committee is responsible for arranging the annual CPP/FPC Certification Study Group.  Other responsibilities may include Mini Study Groups, one day seminars, assist in arranging for speakers at the monthly chapter meetings, advise the Statewide Committee on issues that are pertinent and assist in finding the speakers for the topics to be presented.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

This committee is responsible for keeping a database list of active chapter members and national members in the area, but may not yet be members of the chapter.  This committee will also organize membership drives throughout the year and in coordination with the National “Member get a Member” drive.

STATEWIDE COMMITTEE

Volunteers are needed for the 2011 Statewide Conference Committee, our chapter is responsible for the conference every other year.  We will have a great time planning, and hosting this event and there will be many sub committees within the larger committee.  We will be meeting at least once before the end of the year and then more frequently in 2011 up until the actual conference.  If you are interest sign up now or send an email to Tracy Newcomer.

COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEE

This committee’s purpose is to involve the chapter in some type of community outreach to benefit local charities and educational institutions.  Participation can give members a sense of satisfaction that they have helped someone in need.  This committee also works in conjunction with the NPW Committee during NPW week by arranging an activity for member participation.

HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE

This committee is responsible for coordinating the facility where the chapter meetings are held so that the meal is selected and the room is ready at the time of the meeting.  This committee also prints participation certificates, receipts, name tags, and will take in dues at the meeting.  Other responsibilities include a schedule of attendees at each meeting for various contests requirements.

NPW COMMITTEE

This committee coordinates activities such as community outreach, government outreach, educational outreach, and the chapter meeting celebrating NPW Week.  Member participation is promoted because of the different activities that they can be involved with, depending on their personal interests.  This is a fun committee and grows each year.
