OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Payroll Manager/Human Resources Generalist’s primary duties and responsibilities will include:

Accurate preparation, submission and reconciliation of bi-weekly US payroll cycle for 200 salaried and hourly employees using ADP applications. TITLE:           Payroll/Reporting Manager

OVERVIEW

Manages the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll for all bank employees, both exempt and non-exempt, maintains all employee data required for successful processing, including changes to employee records and coordinates with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.  Records all employee information (personal, compensation, tax, etc.) and makes appropriate changes in compliance with internal policies and external local, state and federal regulations related to such information.  Creates management reports, as necessary from data included within the HRIS/Payroll database.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain and make appropriate changes to employee records (personal, compensation, benefits, tax, etc) and prepares or verifies preparation of a variety of payroll related documents (W-2’s, Wire Transfers, etc.)  
  • Reconcile “projected pay” information as well as temporary employee time records for accuracy, verifies any incentive payments or additional pay such as “Saturday” pay information and researches and corrects any discrepancies in pay data.
  • Participate in “on-boarding” for new employees, including instructions related to employee self-service and time keeping functionality of payroll software
  • Create reporting and verify all deductions from payroll (taxes, benefits, liens, garnishments, etc) reconcile and work with/report to other departments, as necessary.
  • Self audit and prepare for management internal audit, each payroll, related to changes requested and made for the pay period, as well as month-end, quarter-end or annual verifications of tax or benefit related reconciliations.
  • Create management reports related to overtime, staffing, headcount, etc on a routine basis, or as requested.

OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

Hamilton Health Care System is a comprehensive non-profit system comprised of a medical center, surgery center, physician groups and Senior Living. Hamilton Medical Center is the flagship facility licensed for 282 beds and offering complete acute care services employing approximately 1,900 people.

Located in Dalton, GA, Hamilton Medical Center is just south of Chattanooga, TN and less than an hour’s drive north of Atlanta. The region offers many amenities in a low to moderate cost of living.

This position is responsible for the operation of the payroll system of Hamilton Health Care System. The Manager is responsible for security of the Kronos and Lawson systems and all report development. The position supervises 2 staff, maintaining capable, knowledgeable and reliable personnel. All personnel administration functions within the payroll department also fall within the scope of responsibilities. The Payroll Manager reports to the VP/Comptroller.

The ideal candidate would have the following:

- Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or related field and 4+ years of progressively responsible, professional related work experience OR

- Six years of progressively responsible, professional job-specific work experience and an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement; professional certifications a plus

- Experience must include a minimum of 3 years in a lead or senior role

TITLE:           Payroll Manager
Location:      Midtown Atlanta

OVERVIEW

Administrivia, a Premier Business Process Outsourcing company, is seeking a Payroll Manager on a full time basis. The ideal Payroll Manager will be capable of managing payroll for our clients and will be well versed in payroll processing rules, laws and best practices.  As a payroll processing bureau and service provider, Administrivia processes weekly, biweekly, bimonthly and monthly payroll for over 100 clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•  Manage and guarantee disbursement of multi-client payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
•  Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and
terminations is accurate and timely.
•  Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations.
•  Manage regular preparation of relevant client reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.).
•  Maintain documented policies and procedures for the Payroll process.
•  Year-end processing of tax documents (e.g. W2's) and correspondence with tax agencies.
•  Identify a strategic framework for the management of payroll operations.
•  Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
•  Process employee benefit deduction changes including 401-K, health, dental, FSA, etc.
•  Assist with quarterly reviews and audits by providing requested reports, documentation, etc.
•  Lead day-to-day activities and be a resident subject matter expert for all areas of assigned full cycle payroll processes.

Education and/or Experience:
 
•  Minimum of 4-6 years related work experience in a position where Payroll is a primary responsibility.
•  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or Business Administration preferred.
•  Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification preferred.
•  CPA or MBA degree a plus.
•  Working knowledge of MS Office programs required.
•  Proficient in Excel spreadsheet development, including the ability to create formulas & schedules.
•  Experience with Payroll Processing software required.
